Rebecca Smith-Hoffman, Principal, Rebecca Smith-Hoffman has over thirty years of experience working with historic buildings and resources. She is certified by the State of Michigan as an Historian (36 CFR 61). Her vast board and volunteer experiences include Michigan Historic Preservation Network (member Construction Trades Council and past board member), Kent County Council for Historic Preservation (President), National Trust for Historic Preservation (member), Grand Rapids Historical Commission (board member), South East Economic Development Corporation (SEED, board member), East Hills Council of Neighbors (board member, Co-chair), Society for Architectural Historians (member). In 2010 Rebecca received a lifetime achievement award from the Michigan Historic Preservation Network and is the recipient of the Baxter Award 2011 from the Grand Rapids Historical Society as recognition for her contribution to the study and interpretation of history of the Grand River Valley. |

Jennifer Metz, Principal, Jennifer Metz has over fifteen years of experience working with historic buildings and resources. In addition to her work as principal at Past Perfect, she teaches Historic Preservation and Art History courses at Kendall College of Art & Design. She is certified by the State of Michigan as an Architectural Historian (36 CFR 61). She served on the Grand Rapids Historic Preservation Commission for six years (1996-2002) and on the board of the Grand Rapids Historical Society for five years (1999-2004). Grand Rapids Business Journal voted Jennifer one of its "40 under 40" to watch in 2003. She received an award for her volunteer efforts on the Grand Rapids Historic Preservation Commission in 2002. She currently volunteers for the Michigan Historic Preservation Network and is the chair of the Michigan Modernism Committee of the Kent County Council for Historic Preservation. |
